It was windy again tonight, so I was a bit worried about the greenhouse.
It was still standing when I got down there this morning, but the door had blown off....
This was a direct result of a design fault, I feel - there is a plastic stop at each end of the top door rail which is held in place by a screw. These are put on after the door is fitted, for obvious reasons, and the bolts holding the door rail on slide in a channel allowing it to be moved so that the screws can be fittted. Except that after you've fitted the first one, it won't slide enough to let you fit the second one....
So we put the second stop in and glued in place with silicon sealant, which proved sadly inadequate. Luckily the door wasn't damaged and I've temporarily fixed everything in place with duct tape until it dries enough to put lots more silicon sealant on.
Rob's gone out for a trike ride in this dreadful weather. I'm not sure if that's admirable or just daft :-)
