Full Metal Wheelbarrow

Here be puffins….

It was windy and splooshy on the way out to puffin land. I dislike boats, am not good at scrambling over rocks and don’t like heights - but I adore the puffins, so I put up with all the other stuff in order to visit them.



Nest material gathering was in full swing when we arrived.





Puffins have a remarkable talent for looking furtive….





This one seems to have been playing in the mud.



This one found a Stick, of which it seemed extremely proud.



Alas, the Stick wouldn’t fit in the burrow, so it tried breaking the end off…



It was a good day for getting pictures of airborne puffins, as the wind seemed to help their rather limited flying skills. Even if some of them did land backwards.
