Holibobs, part 2
Here be puffins….
It was windy and splooshy on the way out to puffin land. I dislike boats, am not good at scrambling over rocks and don’t like heights - but I adore the puffins, so I put up with all the other stuff in order to visit them.

Puffins! Hooray!
The difficult part with the puffin pictures, as always is picking which ones not to post. Not because I'm so conceited about my pictures, but because the puffins are So Damn Cute.
It was a beautiful day, bright and sunny and the sea was the calmest I've ever known it on that trip. better still, after the sparse population last time we went, two years ago, this time there were oodles of puffins, every one of them ridiculously adorable. Or adorably ridiculous. Or both.
( This way to Puffinland! )

Time to begin the Holiday Photo Bombardment :)
I know that, like me, a lot of you like the puffins best of all, so I shall start with some pictures of them, even though we didn't go to see them until Thursday :)
( So, how close do the puffins get? )

Emergency Holographic Holibobs, Part Deux.
On Thursday we wanted to walk another section of the coast path from Flamborough to the RSPB Visitor Centre at Bempton Cliffs.

I have failed utterly to find us a suitable cottage for what should have been our week on Mull, but we have instead, two nights at a B&B in Flamborough, a short walk from Bempton, where there are, if all is well, many puffins.
Not quite what were hoping for, but better than nothing and with the advantage of not needing a boat trip to visit the little stripy beaked birdies.

Holibobs, Part Eight: In Which There Are Fewer Puffins Than Anticipated
And now for the post I suspect some of you have been waiting for... Puffin Day!

More holiday stuff.
I thought it was about time I deluged you with the rest of my holiday pics, which for some reason, I just haven't got round to...
Enriched with puffins and with extra added otters!
Another picspam post I'm afraid - more puffin pictures and Rob's otter shots.
