I may have to see if I can find if the BBC radio does any streaming on the internet, or maybe a podcast (now that I'm in the know about them).
BBC iplayer does a lot of streaming radio but it's supposedly for UK residents only.
BUT! Someone posted this on one of the Mac Yahoo groups today - http://www.wiki.witopia.net/wiki/Changing_Gateways about how to pretend to have a UK IP address in order to access such things.
I think you need a program called Witopia (http://www.witopia.net/welcome.php) of which I know little, but if the radio's that awful where you are, it may be worth a try (and it seems to come in both Windows and Mac flavours.)
I'm not sure if the podcasts are UK only or not, but there's a list of the BBC ones here (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/podcasts/directory/)
