After a week of almost constant rain and a busy weekend, I finally got to spend a bit of time on the allotment this afternoon. Managed to get Cordelia to start and had a good chopat some of the weeds. Tried to do some hoeing, but the soil was too gluey and just bunged up the hoe blade.
Harvested cabbages, runner beans and potatoes. Had the latter two for dinner tonight and the cabbages are busy drying in the dehydrator along with a tomato leather and some sweet & sour chicken jerky.
In other good news, the splendid Bowen T. Hunter is serialising his book "Trucking Hell on a blog, here :- http://truckinghelltheseries.blogspot.com/
Go and read it! :-)
