206 Bones by Kathy Reichs. 374 pages
Another outing for Dr Temperance Brennan and Detective Andrew Ryan. This time someone appears to be trying to undermine Tempe's professional reputation in Canada, while Ryan is hunting the killer of four elderly ladies. Better than the last book in this series, in my opinion, although it employs a plot device I've never cared for, namely beginning at a late point in the story and telling most of the rest of it in flashback. Still, the level of infodumps in this one has been dialled back to a more bearable level, apart from a really blatant bit of preaching in the last chapter, so I think it's still worth continuing with the series for the time being.
17. Blood Price by Tanya Huff. 330 pages.
This is the first book in the series which inspired the tv show "Blood Ties".
