apparently it's harvested, and used for food ingredients, animal feed, fertiliser, and health products.

That reminds me, I must get some calcified seaweed for my brassicas next year - they like it a lot apparently :)

Those spheres are becoming very popular at outdoor shows - I've seen them at steam rallies quite a lot in the past year or two.

This one was at the Falkirk Wheel where we routinely stop for tea on the way back from our Mull holidays (going again at the end of September! Whee!)

That sculpture looks like an inflatable toy rocket :-)

Yes, it does rather - but it's granite! I can barely imagine the amount of work it took to make it so regular, smooth and polished...
