Well, I shouldn't be surprised, I guess. I'm very safety-conscious, living alone as I do and without a car, but I can see where, tired, annoyed, and overtaxed, one might just forget safety when trying to get dinner. It's not as if I didn't add a fair few drops of blood to my recent remodeling project...
Apparently so yes ... I suspect it's not so much forgetting safety as just not giving it any thought. I think I might be a fair bit less safety conscious were it not that my late dad was an ambulance driver and so very aware of such things...
