Full Metal Wheelbarrow

Today, I has mostly been Moving Stuff, on account of people coming to put in replacement windows in our bedroom and my office.

And then at about twenty past four came the phone call, saying they'd have to cancel, as the factory had made our windows wrong. Drat and double drat!

So now I need to Move Stuff back again, as there was a three week lead time on the windows originally.

Bah. Bah, I say.

 The UK Gibberment, in the assumption that they know better than the scientific advisers who're all telling them it's a bad idea and won't solve the problem, are about to authorise the slaughter of a bunch of blameless badgers in a futile attempt to halt the spread of bovine TB.

I don't know how much good online petitions do, but there's one to ask them not to kill the badgers :-hereabouts

Earlier this year I signed up to participate in Beta testing a new online game.

Today I got my invitation to join the closed beta. Cool, huh?

Yeah. Except that they provide a link to download the game client. Which is an .exe file.

Newsflash, game-making people - not everybody uses a Windows PC. Congratulations on alienating a sizeable group of potential customers and losing yourself their revenue.

This annoys me particularly because it's an online game and thus there's no sensible reason for it to be system specific. And that there doesn't seem to be any simple way to contact them to complain about it either. Bah!
