Full Metal Wheelbarrow

Today I toddled down with my plastic recycling, only to arrive just as the plastic bins were being emptied. Now, if I'd thought about it at all, I'd assumed that these were emptied in the same way as I've seen done with glass bins - i.e. hoisted up in the air and emptied into the back of a lorry. But no. Apparently they're emptied with a giant elephants's trunk :-

A goods train in India has killed seven elephants. The worst part is that the train people have been asked to reduce the speed limit as the area is a known route for the elephants, but they clearly haven't done so. Bastards.
