Like most of my friends list I was very sad to hear of the death of Oliver Postgate yesterday.
I seem to be one of the few people with fond memories of The Pogles, though. Some of my earliest telly memories are of watching Mr Pogle pushing his wheelbarrow through Pogle's Wood with a load of blackberries, helped and hindered by Pippin and Tog.
Rob swore for years that I'd made the whole thing up, until I found an online source to prove the show existed.
Of course, I love the Clangers and Noggin the Nog too, but The Pogles has a special place in my heart.
Thank you, Mr Postgate.
