Full Metal Wheelbarrow

I seem to be doing very badly at picking books to read to Rob at the moment.

Normally he'll happily listen to most things I pick to read him, but this week we've failed on three books in a row. First we parted company with the Eoin Colfer Hitchhiker's Guide book after three chapters because he found it too annoying. (I shall probably finish it myself later). then we both agreed that the Janet Street-Porter book about her walk from Edinburgh to London was far too much of a "Look at the celebrities I'm talking to" fest and abandoned that too.

So I went back to a favourite author for both of us, in the form of Andre Norton and started reading "The Beast Master". Which was fine until we got to bottom of page 26 and found that the next page was page 145... Checking onwards, there was a second page 145 in the proper place further on and no page 27 anywhere, and it seems that a whole section of the book had been duplicated. So we had to give that one up too.

Bother!
