The roads were pretty decent this morning - until we got to the mini roundabout leading to the road where Rob works. I observed that a car approaching the roundabout from that road seemed to be moving very slowly and then I crossed the roundabout and found out why - the road hadn't been gritted and we engaged in a spectacular skid for what seemed like ages, but must've been a few seconds at most, ending up sideways on the wrong side of the road. Fortunately no-one was hurt and no damage was done, but we proceeded with rather more caution after that. Rob congratulated me for not hitting the kerb, but I replied that it was more luck than judgement.
