So that's what people mean when they call their stories 'drabble,' well I won't be supporting that term either.

The radio here is complete rubbish. It's either music with annoying announcers or 'talk' shows which consist of hosts spewing diatribes about whatever their current agenda is and taking calls from people that only agree with them. The best show I've heard is the sports discussions on a Canadian channel, they are very funny and informative, but, not American. I may have to see if I can find if the BBC radio does any streaming on the internet, or maybe a podcast (now that I'm in the know about them).

When we ordered a massive collection of Old Time Radio, we received several 'bonus' discs which ended up being BBC radio dramas (including the Chronicles of Narnia and the Hobbit, which I'll be listening to later today) and since they are newer than the American OTR the quality of the recordings is wonderful. They've become one of my favorite things to listen to on long drives.

BBC iplayer does a lot of streaming radio but it's supposedly for UK residents only.

BUT! Someone posted this on one of the Mac Yahoo groups today - http://www.wiki.witopia.net/wiki/Changing_Gateways about how to pretend to have a UK IP address in order to access such things.

I think you need a program called Witopia (http://www.witopia.net/welcome.php) of which I know little, but if the radio's that awful where you are, it may be worth a try (and it seems to come in both Windows and Mac flavours.)

I'm not sure if the podcasts are UK only or not, but there's a list of the BBC ones here (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/podcasts/directory/)

More great recommendations, I'm sure. Once I get caught up with all my stuff (having a mini-holiday is fun, the catching up after, not so much) I'll have to check it out.
