The castle is Duart Castle, ancestral home of Clan MacLean :-)
It lies across the bay from the cottage we stayed in and makes a nice view from the kitchen window!
It was a ruin at the beginning of the last century and was extensively rebuilt by Sir Fitzroy MacLean in 1911 (although I think he may have had some help :-)).
