I've been maintaining our website for some time now and have always done all the coding by hand in a text editor. I've always been a bit sniffy about web page making programs, probably due to the fact that the first one I tried was an early version of Dreamweaver, which was pants.
But when Rob wanted to quickly put together a site for his photographs, he got a recommendation for a program called Rapidweaver. He tried it, found it worked pretty well and got his site sorted in two shakes of a lamb's tail.
So when he decided the company website needed a major makeover he suggested he teach me how to use Rapidweaver.
So this is where I eat humble pie. It was pretty brilliant really. I haven't done the whole site yet, and I haven't got things exactly the way I want them yet, but I was able, in a few hours today, to do stuff to the site tht would likely have taken weeks (and much hair-tearing) if I'd attempted it by hand.
So I'm a convert :-)
